the larger marked in Cyrillic P.Ovchinnikov, Moscow, 1885; the smaller with mark of the 11th Artel, Moscow, 1908-1917 and later Soviet control marks
The larger kovsh of oval form, the fluted spreading foot, body and shaped horizontal handle enamelled overall with stylised floral and geometric designs on blue and white grounds, with bead prow finial; the smaller example of oval form with raised and shaped prow and handle, enamelled at the sides with shaded scrolling foliage on stippled ground, gilt pellets on pink shaded grounds and green, purple and blue ground borders and reserves, marked under bases
