CIRCA 1720
Each with close-nailed and padded arched back, arms and bowned seat upoholstered in 18th century Beauvais tapestry, the lambrequin and shell-carved scrolled arm terminals above shaped uprights, the shaped apron centered with a scallop shell clasp issuing scrolling acanthus before a hatched ground, on eared shell and lambrequin headed cabriole legs with scrolled and acanthus-sheathed feet, inscribed in blue china marker 1212, stamped in black ink 3Feb1965, the seat rails increased in height by 1/2 in., minor differences in carving (2)
