one watermarked Joynson, with illustration of a girl with lake in the background, accepting a letter from cupid and verse Youthful in years and not deformed to view,/With heart devoted constantly to you/With spirits blithesome & though not posses't/Of wealth, at least with competency blest,/My vows to thee I lay upon the shrine/Of him, love's favourer, Saint Valentine - 7¾ X 9¼in. 19 X 24cm., 1841; a set of four with illustrations and verses, including Heart and hope with love entwining - /Every feeling rife combining,/hand to hand - and lip to lip/Hymen's roseate nectar sip/Love shall wreath his choicest roses,/Where truth a magic charm discloses:/Haste thee, then, to Church away-/For Hymen brooks of no delay - all 7¼ X 9 1/8in. 19 X 25cm., circa 1820 (5)
