Comprising ten fauteuils and a canape, the arched backs, padded arms and the bow-fronted seats covered in Aubusson tapestry with laurel-wreath medallions depicting children and animals, within floral garland borders, the chanelled frames centred by ribbon ties, the arms on stop-fluted supports, on turned tapering stop-fluted legs terminating in toupie feet, one armchair inscribed '66' or 'GG' (11)

Lot Essay

The Château de Vaulserre, always considered one of the most beautiful château of the Dauphiné still retains its the 18th century formal architectural layout. Originally the seat of the de Clermont family, it was later owned by the Corbeau de Saint Franc family.
