The Holy Family in Egypt, from The Life of the Virgin (B. 90; M., Holl. 202)
woodcut, circa 1502, with a narrow High Crown with pendant initial P watermark (cf M. 28), a fine Meder a/b impression, with the break in the cloud but before any of the breaks in the borderline, a proof before the 1511 Latin text Edition, with narrow margins, two small brown stains in the subject, a small section of the upper right corner made-up, the tip of the upper left corner made up, three small (5 mm.) losses in the lower left margin, four short tears at the sheet edges, some soft creasing mainly visible on the reverse, otherwise generally in good condition, framed
B. 298 x 210 mm., S. 303 x 215 mm.
