Probably Guillaume Julien, Orleans, 1809-1819
Circular and with a stiff leaf motif border, engraved with the French Royal arms within drapery mantling, marked on back
9 in. (23 cm.) diam.
14 oz. (420 gr.)
The arms are those of Louis-Philippe, Duke of Orléans (1773-1850), King of France (1830-1848). A set of twelve plates, identical to the present lot were sold from the collection of Madame Nelia Barletta de Cates, Christie's Paris, 18 March 2003, lot 63.
