Lot Essay

The Marquis de Lubersac who emigrated to London during the Revolution was patronised by the French painter Pierre-Henri Danloux (1753-1809) who had also fled from France. Lubsersac exhibited at the Royal Academy 1795-98. His miniatures are rarely signed.
