painted in underglaze blue, coloured enamels and gilt with European ships with their sails unfurled and flags flying below the monogram 'TJ' and within borders of butterflies among scrolling foliage and geometric motifs -- 9¾in. (24.5cm.) diam, early 19th Century, (gilt rubbing, minor chips repaired to rims.)
