Each of Whieldon-type with a shaped rim and variant moulded basketweave or trellis border, splashed allover in tortoiseshell glazes, including shades of green, brown, blue or ochre, comprising:

Lot Essay

Robert Henry Soden-Smith (1822-1890) took on the role of Assistant Keeper of the Art Museum and Library of South Kensington, now the Victoria and Albert Museum, in 1857.
