Frodsham & Keen, Liverpool, No. 2670. Circa 1870
The engraved silvered dial signed Frodsham & Keen Successors to Parkinson & Frodsham Makers to the Admiralty South Castle St. Liverpool 2670, seconds and up-and-down dials 0-56, hour and minute hands of gold, blued steel seconds and up-and-down, the movement with spotted plates, blued steel helical spring, Earnshaw-type spring detent escapement with cut bimetallic balance with circular heat compensation weights, the reverse of the dial plate stamped 2670, brass bowl stamped 2670, the three tier box with vacant mother-of-pearl disc to the centre section, velvet-lined top lid, recessed handles to the sides, trade label to the inside of the centre section for Wilson, Fletcher Bruce & Sons ltd
