The engraved and silvered dial signed Richard Hornby Liverpool No. 1050, seconds at VI, up/down dial at XII 0-56, hour, minute and up/down hands of gold, blued steel seconds, the movement with chain fusee, maintaining power, Earnshaw-type escapement with blued steel helical spring, cut bimetallic balance with circular heat compensatino weights, the later purpose-made three-tier box with drop handles to the sides and vacant bone disc to the centre tier
