FIRST EDITION IN ORIGINAL CONDITION, with the following points: vol. I: pagination present on p. 71, p.89 misnumbered 93, p.243 reads "XIV" for "XVI", last "i" is present in pagination on p. vii. The copyright notices read "a Book" in both volumes, the blank conjugate of the title-leaf is lacking in vol. II, but with the terminal blanks in each volume. Although it was published first, The Last of the Mohicans is the second in the Leatherstocking series. BAL 3833.
