with open sides, painted overall with red dots, overlaid across the shoulders and down the arms with panels of buffalo hide, sinew and thread sewn with Crow stitch beadwork in pink, yellow, white, white heart red, two shades of green, and three shades of blue beads against a light blue beaded ground, each panel decorated with a central rectangular block enclosing classic geometric elements, and trimmed with ermine fur streamers wrapped with red wool trade cloth, rectangular bibs on the front and back, with linear beadwork and hair pendants wrapped with red wool yarn; metal wall mount

This shirt belonged to Thunder Eyes (George Amos), a well-known Nez Perce medicine man and was collected directly from his heirs in the area of Lewiston, Idaho.
