The moulded cornice above a pair of panelled doors decorated with draperies and enclosing a fitted interior with open shelves, pigeon holes and drawers, the canted angles with husk-filled fluting, the sides similarly decorated, above a roll-top centred by a neo-classical vase enclosing a gilt-tooled green leather-lined writing surface and a tambour shutter flanked by four drawers, the lower section with three short and two long drawers, centred by a ribbon-tied medallion flanked by foliage, the angles with pendant husks, on turned tapering fluted legs, the handles with circular enamel medallions depicting portrait profiles, with printed storage label from 'A. WELTI-FURRER A G LAGER HARDSTRASSE' numbered '3912'
