THE TEAPOT MARK OF HENRY CHAWNER, LONDON, 1790 AND STAND MARK OF ALEXANDER FIELD, LONDON, 1801
The teapot oval and with bright-cut borders and a central cartouche, with straight spout and wood scroll handle, the domed cover with a silver-mounted wood finial, supported on a conforming stand on bracket feet, the teapot engraved with initials 'WB', each piece later engraved with an initial 'H' within a Garter motto and below a Royal Duke's coronet, marked on base and inside cover of teapot and on base of stand
The teapot 10 in. (26 cm.) long
gross weight 17 oz. (517 gr.)
The initial is that of H.R.H. The Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester. (2)
