Each rectangular and on four lion's paw feet, with two leaf and reed handles and gadrooned borders, engraved on both sides with a coat-of-arms, the domed cover with reeded branch loop finials, engraved on both sides with a crest and a facsimilie script inscription inside, marked on bases and inside covers

The inscription reads 'From Christina Kerr, November 6th 1935.'
The arms are those of Robinson impaling Nicholl of Nicholson. (4)

Provenance
A wedding present given to Prince Henry and Princess Alice by Christina Kerr, later Lady Kerr (d.1986), wife of Sir Howard Kerr (1894-1977), Equerry to the Duke of Gloucester 1924-1947.
