Shaped oblong and on four ball and claw feet, engraved with an initial 'W' below a Royal Prince's coronet, the back engraved with an inscription, marked on back
25 in. (63.7 cm.) long
146 oz. (4,540 gr.)
The initial is that of H.R.H. Prince William of Gloucester (1941-1972)

The inscription reads 'Confirmation 22nd March 1958'
Provenance
Given to Prince William of Gloucester by his godmother and grandmother Queen Mary (1867-1953) on the occasion of his confirmation on 22 March 1958.
