MARK OF PAUL STORR, LONDON, 1798
Oval boat shape on a pedestal foot with a reeded band, the body with two applied reeded handles, the cover with a reeded loop handle, engraved on one side with a coat-of-arms on the body and a crest on the cover, the other side engraved on each with a badge within a Garter, marked on foot rim and inside cover

The arms are those of Western with Burch in pretence, for Rear Admiral Thomas Western (d.1814) and his wife Mary, daughter and presumably heir of Thomas Burch of Bermuda, whom he married in 1794.
