A VICTORIAN SILVER AND IVORY DESSERT SERVICE
MARK OF FRANCIS HIGGINS, LONDON, 1861
The green-stained handles spiral fluted and beaded, the blades and tines each engraved with a crest, comprising eighteen dessert-forks and eighteen dessert-knives, all in fitted brass bound box, the hinged cover with a brass escutcheon engraved with an initial 'H' within a Garter motto and below a Royal Duke's coronet
The initial is that of H.R.H. The Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester. (36)
