the combatants, semi-naked with loose orange drapes, tied with a belt, holding each others wrists, holding short knives, enriched in flesh tones on an oval base moulded and gilt with the title (F17, col. pl. 54) -- 11 5/8in. (29.6cm.) high, circa 1862 (minor firing faults and slight wear)
