The names inscribed on these 3 items refer to Major George F.Steele, 1st Royal Dragoons, (died 1915), his son Geoffrey Steele and the latter's stepfather, Ernest Campbell, who was also killed in the Great War. Geoffrey Steele was married to the Hollywood actress Mildred Shay who died in 2005.
