The rectangular top inset with a black leather writing surface, each angle flanked by a scrolling shell mount clasp, above three frieze drawers, the back with similar simulated drawers, the sides flanked by bearded masks, on cabriole legs each headed by an espagnolette and terminating in an acanthus sabot; the central drawer lockplate engraved P. SORMANI PARIS/10 rue Charlot
