The body engraved with a scene of a coal-mine near a river with boats, the upper rim with the "logo" of "Bergbau", the hinged cover with inscription, tender-shaped thumb-piece, the finial shaped as a mine-worker holding a pick-axe, standing on a stone with inscription Glück auf, marked on base

The inscription reads: Herrn Bergrath Baur in dankbarer Erinnerung am sein verdienstvolles Wirken zur Förderung des Berghaus gewidmet von der Berge Rheinpreussen Homberg/Ruhrart September 1892.
