Inspired by a model by J.J. Kaendler, probably depicting court jester Fröhlich in doctor's costume flanked by Harlequin holding a medicine-filled hat, further with a patient with toothache holding a barber's bowl, the central tripod table with a monkey amongst medicinal bottles and a tool, on oval rocaille base (right hand doctor restored)
