CIRCA 1750, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK WITH ONE DOTTED HILT
The waisted campana-shaped body and circular foot painted with bouquets and sprays of natural flowers, moulded to the lower front and reverse with a female head or Frauenköpfe, the sides with consoles supporting Cupids in disguise depicting an Abbé with elaborate wig holding bags of money allegorical of 'Greed' and one with large sleeves and a cap holding a brush and a pot allegorical of 'Vanity', the shoulder applied with flowers and fruit, the domed ajour cover en suite with flower finial (minor restorations)
