The case with broken arch cresting centred by a replaced turned bone finial, with a hygrometer above a bayonet-fixed mercury thermometer to the trunk, hinged cast brass dial to 14 in. diameter silvered dial with convex glass, engraved with swags and with a floral basket, signed Jno. Wilson/Fecit/LONDON, with unusual brass adjustment knob for the recording hand positioned below
