A VICTORIAN IVORY MAGNETIC SUN-DIAL AND COMBINED THERMOMETER'

Modelled as a fluted pedastal, with beaded and fluted ornament to the capital and plinth, with incised scales to the thermometer, the compass with paper-dial (lacking glass-cover), the underside applied with a paper label, inscribed 'Patronised by the KING, PORTER'S MAGNETIC SUNDIAL' and further inscribed 'Floating on an agate cap'
