Christ is portrayed on the cross. The extremities of the cross are occupied by the three-quarter figures of the Mother of God and John. The upper part of the Crucifix includes an image of the Mandylion, the corners are occupied by the sun and the moon, and two angels with veiled hands bow to receive the soul of the Crucified.
At the lower part, the buildings indicate the city of Jerusalem, whereas at the bottom the skull refers to the burial place of Adam. The Crucifix is delicately painted with bright colours.
