The polychrome-painted porcelain globe with English inscriptions, with monogram within a cartouche, with steel hour hand curving from the Arctic to indicate the time on a gilt-brass band at the equatorial position applied with twice 12 individual white enamel Arabic chapters, also calibrated 0-11 twice and engraved with quarter hour markers, the globe pivoted within a circular frame for manual adjustment, the hour hand revolving once every 24 hours, single barrel movement with platform lever escapement, on baluster column rising from a circular base inscribed J J M 1893, on octagonal red marble plinth -- 7 in.
