The vase-shaped case with serpent handles and bud and fruit finial, the base with glazed lenticle within a stiff leaf frame and raised on bun feet, the white enamel Roman and Arabic dial signed LeRoi et Fils, pierced ormolu hands and steel alarm-set hand, the formerly three train movement now with single barrel and silk suspension for anchor escapement -- 20½ in. (52 cm.) high
