A George III oak small longcase clock, late 18th Century
The breakarch hood with inset columns, with moulded frame to the rectangular trunk door, above plinth with deep skirting, the 12 in. wide brass dial with eagle and urn spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring and date apertue, hands later black painted, signed on a silvered disc in the arch Thos. Hall/Rumsey, the eight day movement with five pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike on bell -- 79¼ in. (211.5 cm.) high; pendulum, two weights, crank key
