The hood with broken arch cresting and outset and reeded columns, the arched trunk door flanked by reeded half columns, above panelled plinth, the 13 in. square cut-away brass dial with shell and foliate spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with dot minute track, the centre engraved with scrolls and with subsidiary seconds ring, mock date aperture, signed Wm. Roberts/AMLWCH, blued steel later hands, the eight day movement with four pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike on bell; composite, case dial and movement associated, 18th & 19th Century -- 81½ in.
