The 85 mm. diameter silvered Roman dial with subsidiary seconds ring and up/down aperture, signed Barrauds & Lund/Cornhill LONDON/2-807, gold hands, Earnshaw escapement, cut bimetallic balance with two segmental heat compensation weights, steel spring detent and blued steel helical spring, plain top plate, brass bowl and gimbal to three-tier brass-bound box with drop-down handles, with vacant bone roundel to the front; box reduced, possibly associated to chronometer -- the box 160 mm. square; key
