His interest was revived in the late 1960s when he rediscovered his childhood toys and joined the Maidenhead Static Model Club at its foundation. He later founded the South West Model Club, the East Anglian Model Club and, in 2003, the Dinky Toy Collectors Association. He appears regularly on radio and television describing toys of all kinds, including an appearance on the Antiques Roadshow with Michael Aspel when he was collector of the week (see above). His popular Shire Publications book 'Dinky Toys' has now sold over 15,000 copies. Some models in the sale were purchased from such renowned collectors as Cecil Gibson, Mike and Sue Richardson, Jean-Michel Roulet and Jean-Vital Remy. Many of the toys acquired after 1965 were obtained new from toyshops all over the country. The most remarkable cache is now in Lots 144 to 147 - Land Rovers bought at Woolworth's in Wymondham, Norfolk in 1970. Please note that on some vehicles tyres have been replaced with modern examples; these have not been individually identified PRE-WAR DINKY TOYS
