Comprising: The Interesting Story of the Children in the Wood, The History of Tom Thumb, The Life of Jack Sprat (2 copies), London Jingles and Country Tales for Young People, Death and Burial of Cock Robin, Nursery Rhymes from the Royal Collections & Nursery Poems, from the Ancient and Modern Poets (2 copies). The lot comprises seven of the numerous books from the press of J.G. Rusher who specialised in printing juvenile literature in Banbury for most of the nineteenth century. The Rusher family was concerned in printing and bookselling for over a century, William Rusher having been a bookseller and stationer in Banbury in 1785. (9)
