Lot Essay

The above bronze group was commissioned in 1970 and completed in 1971. It depicts George Best, Bobby Charlton and Denis Law all European Footballers of the Year. Best, 1968; Charlton, 1966; and Law 1964. The group was sculpted by Walter Kershaw and cast by Morris Singer Limited, Fine Art Founders since 1848
