Each semi-translucent plaque lightly carved in imitation of a painting, one with narcissus growing below a leafless tree with mountains in the distance, the other with camellias growing beside rocks, both with traces of gilding and reddish-brown pigment, the reverse of each carved with a poem, within a wood frame

Lot Essay

The inscriptions on the reverse are poetic verses referring to the narcissus and to the camellia.
