Worked in counted stitch on the front and back panels with an overall design of flowering wisteria branches, all within a wide border, at the collar, sleeve openings and hem, composed of endless knot and shou characters superimposed on a band of three wavy gold lines, picked out in shades of green and yellow, purple and blue on a turquoise ground patterned with dense wan fret
