MARK OF WHIPHAM & WRIGHT, LONDON, 1764,
Baluster with gadroon borders, scalloped & leaf-embellished spout, spirally fluted knop finial, neo-classical armorial within wreath to one side, crest on opposite side, cover struck with lion passant twice, 11 in. high (28 cm.), 32 oz.

Further details
The arms are those of Lever impaling Bayley for Ashton Lever of Alkrington who married Frances Bayley of Manchester in the last quarter of the 18th century. He was knighted in 1778 and died in 1788.
