A linen band sampler worked in fresh coloured silks mainly in cross stitch and drawn threadwork with prayers and pious verses and the name "Thomas Mead" in the centre, the lower border with a row of coronets--9½ x 15in. (24 x 38cm.), probably mid 18th century
