Accompanied by Audemars Piguet cardboard slipcase, wood presentation box, the hinged lid as a chess board opening to reveal wooden chess pieces and certificate.

The present watch is one of 150 pieces in a limited edition produced by Audemars Piguet. The chessboard box mirrors the patterning of the dial and calls attention to the firm's interest in the game. In 1997, famed chess played Garry Kasparov not only wore a "Royal Oak" wristwatch during one of his matches but he also had the company design a special computer-driven clock to be kept on the chess table.
