AN EARLY ISLAMIC AUBERGINE GLASS JAR
CIRCA 7TH-8TH CENTURY A.D.
The rounded body decorated with irregular shaped trails, with everted rim and pad base; and another early Islamic aubergine miniature glass jar, the rounded body decorated with six applied prunts with trail above, on thick pad base, circa 7th-9th Century A.D.
2¾ in. (7 cm.) and 2¼ in. (5.6 cm.) high respectively (2)
Provenance
Formerly in a German private collection, acquired in the 1960s-1970s.
