A ROMAN BRONZE MIRROR
CIRCA 1ST-2ND CENTURY A.D.
Composed of two discs hinged together, the exterior of each with a series of concentric rings, each disc with an arching handle, the two attachment plates on one side in the form of theatrical masks, a smaller looped handle attached to the hinge
Mirror discs 4¾ in. (12 cm.) diam.
Provenance
Acquired on the London art market, 1993.
