Lot Essay

William Pegg was apprenticed to the Nottingham Road Derby China Works in about 1810 for nine years, before moving to Nantgarw and then to H&R Daniel in Stoke-On-Trent where he strengthened their reputation for excellent quality wares. He continued to paint into his retirement despite becoming a successful textile designer later on in his career
