Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with applied gold hour markers in 1954 and its subsequent sale on 3 June 1955. To the best of our knowledge it has never been offered at auction before.

Production of reference 2484 was launched in 1950. An example of this model in platinum with diamond-set numerals is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 157.
