Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1953 and its subsequent sale on 2 March 1954.

To the best of our knowledge it has never been offered at auction before. It is furthermore one of only two examples of reference 2450 in pink gold to appear in public to date.

Reference 2450 was launched in 1948 and produced in two series: the first, from 1948 to 1952, with calibre 12-120. The second series, such as the present watch, was made between 1950 and 1953 and fitted with a calibre 12-400 movement.
