The terrestrial CARY'S NEW TERRESTRIAL GLOBE, DELINEATED From the best Authorities extant; Exhibiting the late Discoveries towards the NORTH POLE, and every improvement in Geography to the present Time. CARY, 86, S.tJames's Street March 15th1821. made up of two sets of twelve hand-coloured engraved half-gores, with fully graduated equatorial, ecliptic and anti-meridian, the oceans with an analemma, numerous explorers' tracks, with notes and dates, and trade winds in the Indian Ocean, the continents attractively outlined and shaded in various colours and showing towns, cities, rivers, mountains in pictorial relief and the Great Wall of China, Central Africa with very little detail, no lakes, and a note JAGAS and other Tribes of whom very little is known;
the celestial CARY'S NEW CELESTIAL GLOBE ON WHICH are correctly laid down upwards of 3500 Stars Selected from the most accurate observations and calculated for the Year 1800 With the extent of each Constellation precisely defined By M.RGILPIN of the ROYAL SOCIETY Made & Sold by J. & W. Cary. Strand London Jan 1.1816 made up of two sets of twelve hand-coloured engraved split half-gores laid to the ecliptic poles, the axis through the celestial poles, with fully graduated equinoctial, eclpitic with twilight zone and four colures, the constellations depicted by mythical beasts and figures and scientific instruments, with dotted boundaries and stars to seven orders of magnitude with nebulae and variously labelled with greek and roman characters and arabic numerals according to their source;
both spheres with an engraved brass hour dial, stamped meridian and hand-coloured engraved horizon circle with wind directions, degree(x2), Zodiac and calendar scales, the rim painted red, on a four-legged mahogany stand with baluster-turned legs united by cross stretchers to the meridian support, restorations
