The vase-shaped detachable nozzles above a gadrooned shaft with foliate angles, on a triple reeded and rocaille and cartouche shaped circular base, restorations to the original gilding which has been washed and burnished in parts, drilled and filled, with associated drip-pans

Lot Essay

A pair of candlesticks of the same model, with differences at the base of the nozzles, and fitted with a detachable double branch, stamped with the Couronné poinçon for 1745-49, was sold from the collection of Karl Lagerfeld, Christie's, Monaco, 29th April 2000, lot 332.
