Lot Essay

Karin completed a Master of Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee in 2000. Her inspiration is organic form which she translates into works in a variety of mediums including paper and silver as well as bronze. One of her core pieces is the cell- which she describes as a small memento of the sea and which developed as a concept from her walks along the beach in St Andrews in Fife.
