Yerri and Gretel, a pair of French Hansi composition character dolls
with painted blue side-glancing googlie eyes, closed smiling mouths, painted blonde hair, the boy with additional wool hair, socket heads, jointed at shoulders and hips, painted shoes and socks, wearing original Alsation costumes, him with card 'slate' tag printed 'Hansi and Vive la France! Yerri', circa 1917 --9in. (23cm.) high, inscribed on backs of head 'La B......? Paris (slight wear); and a seated Heubach piano baby with hands raised in air --7in. (17.5cm.) high (one little finger missing)
